Photographe Allemand, vit et travaille en Bretagne

Eberhard a fait des études d’ethnologie et d’histoire de l’art avant de travailler comme photographe indépendant. Depuis 1975, il parcourt tous les continents à la recherche des cultures en déclin. Il réalise surtout des natures mortes et des portraits en grands formats. Ses travaux sont exposés en Europe, aux Etats-Unis, au Japon et figurent dans de nombreuses collections privées et publiques. En 1991, ses portraits d’Europe de l’Est sur négatif 8×10 inch ont été exposés au Museum of Modern Art de New York.
Depuis 2005, Eberhard réalise ses œuvres avec des techniques de collage numérique.

German Photographer,
lives and works in Brittany

Eberhard Grames, born 1953 in Germany, studied ethnology and art history before starting as a freelance photographer.
Since 1975 he’s travelled all continents in search of the strange and the ugly, and worked especially on dying cultures, still life and portraits. His work has been exhibited in Europe, the USA, Japan and is represented in private and public collections. In 1991, his portraits of Eastern Europe photographed on 8×10 inch negative had been exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Since 2005 Grames has been working with various collage techniques.
